Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
During 2014 I took part in the London to Paris cycle challenge. It was such an experience that I decided to do it again in 2015. But I want to do more.
The UK is facing a cancer crisis. By the end of 2020, almost one in two of us will face cancer sometime during our lives.
Even now it is a struggle to ensure that everyone receives a good standard of care when faced with cancer, but how will we cope as the number of us diagnosed with cancer continues to rise?
We need help to make sure that cancer care is prioritised to help tackle this looming crisis. Now, more than ever, Macmillan need help to make sure no one faces cancer alone.
In order to do my bit to help, I plan to take on 5 challenge events,
cycling more than 1,000 kms over the course of my 5 to ride in 2015.
So my Macmillan Cancer Support 5 to ride for 2015 are;
- Etape
Loch Ness – 26 April 2015 – 110 km (http://www.etapelochness.com/)
- London to Paris 1-5 July 2015 – 500 km (http://www.macmillan.org.uk/get-involved/fundraising-events/event-detail/670/londontopariscyclechallenge2015)
- Prudential Ride London Surrey 100 - 2 August 2015 – 160 km (http://www.macmillan.org.uk/get-involved/fundraising-events/event-detail/721/prudentialridelondon%E2%80%93surrey100)
- Tour o’ the Borders - Sunday 9 August 2015 - 124 km (http://tourotheborders.com/)
- Tour de Broads – Sunday 23 August 2015 - 114 km (http://www.revolutionevents.co/tour-de-broads)
