Batch's passion for Athletics drove all he did.  He believed in making the most of what a human body could do and was prepared to help anyone who wanted to improve, freely  He applied his own experiences with a knowledge informed scientifically and practically.  He coached at many clubs in the south East: SLH, Epsom & Ewell, and of course his very own club BOXHILL RACERS.  He was proud of the achievements of his proteges, and also of the strong camaraderie that developed and continues.

Batch was a force in his own right - his spirit lives on.
