Story

Thanks for having a look.

Times are still very tough at the Southern Area Hospice.

This last 18 months plus we haven't been able to get out and do our "normal" bucket collections

Raising funds for the Trek to the Alps was always going to be problematic!

Following our successful Mizen to Malin unsupported bike packing trek in 2020, Derek and I have given ourselves a different sort of challenge for some time in May or June in 2022 (when we get a weather) window,

So Derek and I are going to attempt an unsupported "bike packing" journey, along the full length of the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland.

The Wild Atlantic Way straddles the western coast of Ireland, and thanks to the jagged shape of the Emerald Isle it’s the longest coastal road in the world at 2,500km.

We expect to be on the road for between 14 and 15 day's carrying whatever we need for our own shelter, comfort and clothing on the road bikes.

No B&B's, No Hotels, No Camper-vans!

It will be difficult - but then - what is a challenge supposed to be?

Thank you for your support

Robin and Derek
