We provide unconditional friendship, support and practical help to people in crisis and in need. We work with children, homeless people, all adult victims of modern slavery and those dealing with drug and/or alcohol addiction

Story

The Salvation Army in Staple Hill is continually working, often unseen, in the local community providing care, support, friendship and help to those who most need it. Their services are available to anyone and everyone who asks. Most of us are fortunate enough not to need their help, but if we did they would be there for us.

On the 8th October I am joining "Team Sally Army" and taking part in The London Parks Half Marathon. I am doing this to raise to raise money for and awareness of the work taking place on our doorstep.

The Half Marathon coincides with my birthday weekend. So I am not asking for large donations, just the cost of a birthday card. If everyone I know and have contact with donated a "birthday card" then we could potentially raise an amazing amount. Obviously if anyone wanted to donate a little more, for example the cost of a birthday cake that would be very much appreciated!!!

Thank you in anticipation of receiving your birthday 🎂 wishes.
