We provide specialist support services to help woman survivors of sexual violence

Story

Hi, we are Sophie and Rosie.

We are running in the Cambridge Half Marathon on 8th March for Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre; collectively we’ve been involved with CRCC for almost 7 years!

We care so much about CRCC - it’s an organisation full of inspiring women who really care about making a difference, fearlessly supporting survivors of sexual violence and fighting injustice. It’s a privilege that we get to be a part of it.

It is apt that the run takes place on International Women's Day as we formed our friendship through the unstoppable force that is GIRL POWER! Neither of us could run for longer than 15 minutes a couple of months ago so we have been working extremely hard to get our fitness up!

Between us we hope to raise £1000 (that's £500 each for the mathematicians out there). We want to raise this sum because £1000 is enough for 1 survivor to have 20 sessions of counselling. Our counselling service is wildly underfunded so it would be incredible to raise some money to support this much-needed service.

With your help we can change the world!

Thank you so much for reading and/or donating.

Love,
Rosie and Sophie xxx
