Story
On September 21, I will be taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge with colleagues from MOO. The challenge takes around 12 hours and I know everyone is beyond excited at the prospect of talking to me for this continuous period of time! I am raising money for Leap Confronting Conflict.
Leap’s purpose is to give young people the skills to manage conflict in their lives, reduce violence in their communities and help lead our society.
Leap has over 30 years’ experience supporting young people who may be in care, in prison, excluded from school or displaying destructive behaviour in their communities. They often face high, sustained levels of conflict – violence, low self-esteem, poor relationships, bullying or chaotic home lives may be part of their lives. Through 1:1 support and group training they explore what triggers them, how to break cycles of behaviour, take responsibility for their actions and build stronger relationships.
