Story

That's us just passed 30% of our target and still 95 days to go until the Half Marathon. Thank you all soo much to those who have already donated. Raising this money means so much to Ashleigh, her friends and the families involved. Thank You. X

Thank you for all of your donations so far! already 10% on the way there!! I received an email today from Nordoff Robbins who are more than grateful for the wonderful donations, they are also going to be sending us out t shirts to help promote the charity.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

As most of you know our family, you will know our sister, Ashleigh. Ashleigh currently attends weekly music therapy classes, however due to lack of funds the classes are due to end soon.

For a 16 week programme it costs £1000 for a music therapy teacher to come out and teach disabled adults on how to show their musical talents, whether that be with instruments or their voices.  Ashleigh is at her happiest when performing and with these classes, her confidence has grown and her socialisation skills have also improved.

We have decided to take part in Glasgow's Half Marathon on Sunday the 4th of October 2015. 6 weeks ago if you asked me to run somewhere it would be refused point blank. But it's all for a great cause and big improvements have been made already.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

We are Scotland's only music therapy charity and help people with a wide range of conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy and dementia. We provide almost 400 sessions a week to children and adults facing serious health challenges. Our work improves communication, well-being and quality of life.
