I have become committed to helping surgeons in low income countries to develop modern techniques adapted to be at as low a cost as possible to their patients. Intersurgeon is a global platform which enables surgeons from throughout the world to form partnerships. The importance of this is that lack of effective surgery is responsible for more avoidable deaths than AIDS, Malaria and Tb combined. 30 Million people are estimated to be facing death or financial ruin at any one time. Using Intersurgeon we can now have surgeons training centres thousands of miles away using specialised web communications and smart goggles.
