For Refugees is doing vital work to welcome refugees arriving in the UK. Thanks to For Refugees, our charity and church partners, as well as the UK Government, it is now possible for churches and community groups to sponsor them into their communities through the recently announced Community Sponsorship Programme.
Community Sponsorship allows civic and faith-based organisations to be directly involved in the resettlement of refugee families arriving in the UK. Community Sponsors are responsible for helping the family become self-sufficient by providing housing, cultural orientation, education and employment support.
I am going to be running:
- In Pisa and Portsmouth
- Along the Potomac and the Thames
- From the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean
I am hoping to raise £15 for every mile I run.
That's £15,000 for refugees.
