Story

My Son Shay was diagnosed with the deadly virus of PIMS in May which basically sent his organs into overdrive it caused inflammation of his liver and fluid in his stomach. His temperature peaked at 41.9 and his body had a very vibrant rash all over. His pulse was increasing and his blood pressure kept dropping. His heart however was the biggest concern as it was been overworked. Shay was transferred to PICU in Belfast Royal hospital from Altnagelvin for intense medical attention were he had 24hour care around the clock. We then got informed he was critically ill and fighting for his life, these words will echoe in my mind for eternity it's a traumatic experience an very emotional one I'll never forget.

Just want to say thank you to all the consultants, Nurses and doctors in the NHS who collectively treated and looked after my son and give him the top medical care he thoroughly needed for this I'll be forever greatful. So this is my gesture to you heroes I'm Running a Marathon with the support of my cousin James finlay to give something back to those incredible people who have helped Shay on his journey. He's still attending the Cardiologist in Belfast Royal hospital at the moment and still Recovering.
