Some info about Vision Africa:

Vision

Our vision is to ‘Give a Child a Future’. This is the core of all our activities.

Who is the child we refer to?

Aged 0-18 years
Of either gender, male or female
Of any religious faith
Children who are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse
Children who are disadvantaged by their circumstances
Children who lack access to basic needs, rights and opportunities.
What do we mean by future?

To ‘Give a Child a Future’ is to ensure that the child is able to experience the following:-

Respect for self, others and God through sound emotional, physical, spiritual, mental and social well-being
Opportunities to recognise and reach their potential, living the highest possible quality of life
Opportunities to live in self-sufficiency, independent of charitable aid, contributing to family and community life, raising his/her own children without poverty
Being empowered to speak for him/herself
Being empowered to reach out to others and show compassion to those in need
Mission

According to the constitution of Vision Africa our objectives are:

To advance the education of children in Africa, primarily under the age of 18 but in certain circumstances provision will be made for those over 18 who are still in education.
To relieve poverty and distress amongst children in Africa.
To protect and preserve the health of children in Africa.
Our work and project partnerships are guided by three key objectives.

Provision: We contribute towards meeting the children’s material and emotional needs.
Protection: We protect the rights of children to have a happy childhood free from neglect, cruelty and exploitation.
Preparation: We support projects that enhance educational opportunities and prepare children to fulfil their potential.
