Story

In keeping with the High Sheriff's Ancient Right to Raise a Hue and Cry, calling on Good People to chase and apprehend Villains and Criminals...  And in this case, to raise money for charity...

Volunteer to chase suitably dressed Villains down Oakham High Street (which will be closed to traffic) at the Request of the High Sheriff, accompanied by Hunting Horns.  Categories will include Men, Women, Fancy Dress and People Pushing Prams or Trolleys.  There will be Prizes for the Winners.  When All Villains are Apprehended the High Sheriff will show her Gratitude to all Participants by a Gift of Ale (or equivalent).

This Bank Holiday event is part of the celebrations marking the re-opening of Oakham Castle after major renovation.
