Derby Walk · 1 February 2014

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The first of my charity events. I am going to walk from the Shaw Cross Sharks Rugby Club to the Dewsbury Celtic Rugby Club on the 1st of March.

As some of you maybe aware I was seriously injured playing Rugby League in March 2013. I sustained a dislocated neck and also suffered a stroke that has left me with limited movement down the left side of my body.

I am raising the money to give back to the people that have supported me through this tough period and hopefully help many more who have suffered a serious injury.

I am donating to two amazing charities that are:

The RFL Benevolent Fund

They have been there since the day I went into hospital and are still supporting me now. Not many people will know about the organisation but its incredible and it provides massive amount of support to the rugby league players that have suffered a serious injury.
