Story

Hello

About Me: I never thought that I would ever be able to run a mile, let alone a marathon! When I was 17 (and 17 stone), I had a reality check with myself and said, I have to sort it out and I have never looked back after losing 4 stone. But still, after losing weight, I  would never have imagined myself running a marathon.

I have had the opportunity to run the London Marathon again for the Natural History Museum. Despite all my training going well last time, my race day did not go as planned. I ended up in a lot of pain and had to walk from about mile 20 but I made sure that I was going to finish because of the thought of why I was there and who I was doing it for.  This kept me going. Let's hope this time it's better and I will push myself all the way to the finishing line :-).

Why The Natural History Museum?

My sister-in-law works for the Natural History Museum and it's brought to light how hard she works and all the great things they do. There's a lot of research that goes on, they help to educate us all and show us some amazing artefacts from history. So running the marathon is the least I can do to help raise money for such a great cause.

Thank you for taking the time and reading my story.

Ryan
