Story
The Samaritans is a charity that I really appreciate. I myself struggle with mental health and many of my close family and friends do also. I've seen how depression and mental health can affect a person and the people around them and it's amazing to know that this charity is out there to give that extra help to anyone that feels they can't fight the black cloud of mental health anymore or any other issues that are affecting them.
This charity is there for anyone with no judgements and gives people the confidence and belief in themselves to carry on.
Suicide is a taboo topic for people to talk about but it is becoming all too common now and for me its so scary as a parent to hear of people losing their children when they knew nothing was wrong. I'm so glad this charity gives people a place to open up so that hopefully it never comes to that awful conclusion.
Please donate. Even just £1 and give these guys the funding to carry on saving lives. Thank you so much xx
Every single day, around 16 people decide to end their own life across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
We know our service can help people before it's too late.
With over 20,000 volunteers based in 201 branches across 5 nations, we’re actively involved in a community near you.
We reach out and work with schools, colleges and universities, workplaces, health and welfare services, homeless shelters, prisons and other charities.
We also promote awareness of our service at local social venues, community events and music festivals.
