Story
Every year The Lions of Windsor run a swimathon event at Windsor Leisure Centre. Many local schools and clubs take part to raise money for their charities.
The swimathon takes place all day. On the hour, 6 lanes are filled with 6 different teams from various schools and clubs. They compete for 55 minutes, taking it in turns to swim as many laps as they can in that time.
5 lanes are reserved for St Edwards Middle School on Sunday 9th October at 4pm
We raise money for St Edward’s Royal Free Ecumenical Middle School by asking friends and family to sponsor the pupils who are swimming. 100% of the sponsor money goes back to STERF and the Lions of Windsor receive the gift aid which then goes to many local charities.
It is a great atmosphere on the day and the pupils really get involved! Cheering their teams on to get as many laps as they can and of course this is a great achievement in supporting their school. All the pupils involved will receive a certificate in the New Year from the Lions.
Please show your support by sponsoring the pupils who are swimming to raise money for St Edwards Middle School. Thank you!
