In 2011, Westminster Befriend a family organized its last day trip to Brighton - mostly - due to governmental cuts. The seaside trip used to be the most popular project run by the charity & was the only holiday for some parents and children. Consequently, we are aiming at raising funds to allow 250 children & parents to spend an awesome day in Brighton. Let 2015 be the year you will help the project come back to life after 3 years!

I started volunteering for Westminster Befriend a family 10 months ago. I have the chance to mentor a 6 years old adorable girl living with her single father. The idea of this project came out when I thought of taking the little girl I mentor to the beach during the summer and then realized she would enjoy the trip even more if other children were coming with us. 

In order to raise the necessary funds, Syed and I are running the Olympic Park 10k Summer series on the 8th August. This demanding challenge is definitely worth the hundreds of smiles we together could bring about! 

Your donation will allow the families to travel by train, enjoy a 3 course meal, participate in an outdoor activity (like visiting the Aquarium), relax at the beach and spend a memorable day thanks to you:

- £15 to help a child go to Brighton OR a single mother/father with her/his under 5 child

- £64 to help a whole family

- Any amount will make a massive difference for the families we're fundraising for
