We create 'Schools of Hope' in the slums to give children access to education

Story

As you may be aware I am take part in the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge for the charity ChallengeAid which involves walking to the summit of Pen-y-fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdon  all in the same day. I will be starting at 5.00am at Pen-y-Fan and finishing at Snowdon at 6.45pm on Saturday 27th June 2015.

The aim of ChallengeAid is to take children out of poverty through education in some of the slums of Nairobi.  This unique concept is both an alternative and complementary type of education which allows many children who are unable to attend school during the day to be able to continue their studies at night through our ‘Schools of Hope’ programme. The SoH operate after school hours, giving children educational support by providing desks, chairs, lighting and most importantly a good supply of up-to-date text books.

None of the money raised is used for administrative purposes.

ChallengeAid (CA) raises money through sponsored challenges in the UK. None of the money raised is used for admin purposes. With that money we create Schools of Hope in slums in East Africa to allow aspirational children, through education, to escape the cycle of poverty in which they are trapped.
