Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been very apprehensive about creating this just giving page and have been putting if off for weeks! Being perfectly honest, quite frankly I am truly doubting that I will be able to pull this off!  I couldn’t be giving myself more of a challenge!   I can not describe quite how sick I feel at the thought of abseiling from the top of the i360 ! Afterall it’s 531 feet high (162 metres)!

So why am I doing this iDrop challenge?

Mmm, good question....... well firstly, I can’t guarantee that I AM doing this (so hope I am not going to get into trouble from ‘ Friends of Brighton and Hove hospitals’ for being so honest).  But I DO want to somehow get the courage to do this - so am hoping that counts for something!!

A friend who works closely with this charity ( they do an incredible job with the NHS to enhance the care for each and every one of their patients) told me back in February that the maternity ward in the Tower of the Royal Sussex County hospital in Brighton is celebrating their 50th year and it’s also the international year of the nurse and midwife so would I like to take on this challenge and try to raise funds for them.  I was rather dubious, but after a few drinks (you know me)thought hell why not! Besides my first born, Sam was born in that actual maternity ward almost 15 years ago....so I thought how nice it would be to give something back to say thanks for the care we were both given.

Also none of us could have predicted what a year 2020 has turned out to be with this awful virus, so this really couldn’t be more of a superb time to show support and help the NHS in anyway we can..... OK perhaps a rather dramatic way to help by dropping 162 metres down a rope!

I would like to show my cheeky trio that it’s good  to sometimes get out of your comfort zone and challenge oneself, especially for a good cause!   I have explained that it’s perfectly safe and it’s just a matter of mind over matter 😂🤪.. I now just need to practise what I preach!

So guys I would so appreciate any support you possibly could please give...🙌

I do however, apologise in advance if instead of doing this i360 drop, I do infact drop out of the challenge.  I do promise I am going to really really try not to.

Thank you for reading,

Lots of love , a VERY scared Sarah xxx

Ps : Any  tips hugely appreciated  that may genuinely help me to achieve this!
