Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Myself and Lisa are planning to run the Manchester Marathon to help raise awareness on Nystagmus.

The Nystagmus Network is the oldest Charity in the UK providing support on the eye condition Nystagmus. The charity provides support network for families and leading the way in funding research to find effective treatments.

When my daughter Delilah was 6 months old she was diagnosed with Congenital Nystagmus. Nystagmus means (in simply terms) the continuous uncontrolled movement of the eyes, resulting in reduced vision. Vision problems resulting from Congenial Nystagmus does tend to improve to the age of five or six and doesn't usually get worse. There is if yet no cure for Nystagmus.

Last year I ran London Marathon to help raise awareness on Nystagmus and how personal this condition is to my family. I receive amazing support and wanted to continue to help where I could. Manchester Marathon seemed the perfect opportunity again and so chuffed Lisa is running to support the charity too 😘😘
