Story
I can’t believe I’m actually writing this but this year I’m going to be running the London marathon with my incredible mum - this is a challenge we have both dreamed of doing but never believed it would become a reality. I’m currently 5 weeks into my training programme and feeling very excited and nervous for the journey ahead.
I’m so proud to say that I will be raising money for the amazing charity CPotential. They provide specialist rehabilitation for children and young adults with movement disorders and help them reach their full potential in life.
For those who don’t know, I am a physiotherapist specialising in intellectual disabilities and neurology and so this charity is particularly special for me as they support and empower individuals very similar to those I treat on a daily basis.
The impact they can have on a child’s quality of life is incredible, no, life changing…..and so, I felt I needed to take on this challenge, move my body, push myself to my absolute limit (because believe me I am no natural runner) to raise money and support such an incredible charity.
If you feel able to support me to reach my goal of £1750 and not only support these children, but also me, as I take on this HUGE challenge then I will be so grateful.
Thank you for reading and supporting me….and here’s to the next 21 weeks!
If anyone would like to see what CPotential is all about I will leave the link to their charity page below
Thank you so much,
Sarah x
