Brain injury, however severe is a life changing event with huge consequences for the person involved as well as their family and friends. Time in hospital is just the first stage in a long journey of recovery but support can be difficult to find once back at home.

Headway does such important work helping people to overcome the often hidden effects of brain injury. I have been involved with Headway SSW as a trustee, they provide much needed support and advice, as well as group activities and peer support following brain injury. 

I have been privileged to work with some inspirational people working so hard to overcome their injuries.... they'll be at the forefront of my mind as I commit to this ongoing challenge.
