As many of you already know my Mum (Angie) has secondary progressive MS. She is a wonderful positive person who has fought this awful disease bravely with a smile for many years (over 30). Mum couldn’t continue to do this without the love and support from family, friends and specialist services. My mum discovered the MS therapy centre around fifteen years ago and the treatments and support they continue to offer are life changing for many.

As you can imagine, the last year has been incredibly difficult for the charity, especially as their members are vulnerable and immuno-compromised. The Centre has adapted and changed to suit the current climate and has stayed open throughout this period to continue providing services to its members.

Mum visits regularly to access the hyperbaric oxygen therapy, my dad (Steve) volunteers at the centre and runs the chamber on the evenings mum attends. Even with volunteers at the helm this treatment still costs around £11,000 a year to run! This treatment is only one of many that this wonderful centre offer, so as a way of thanking them for everything they have done for our family, I would like to raise as much money as I can to help them through these difficult times. 

It doesn’t have to be much, even a couple of pounds that you may have spent on a cheeky Starbucks would be great. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Sarah :-)
