Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may already know, my Grandma suffers from Alzheimer's. My Grandad is her carer. The Alzheimer's Society and the work they do is therefore very close to my family's hearts and that is why myself, my sister and my auntie have decided to run the Bupa Great Yorkshire Run to raise money for this worthy cause.
Dementia can affect anyone and is
caused by diseases of the brain, one of these is Alzheimer’s. Dementia is
terminal and there is no cure. The Alzheimer’s
Society supports people to live well with dementia today and funds research to find a cure for tomorrow.
Seeing my Grandma go through this is heartbreaking. Seeing my Grandad have to cope with this equally so. He is a superhero; she is precious. The one thing that is truly heart warming, however, is the unconditional and eternal love they have for one another and their family and I hope this small thing we are doing will demonstrate the support they have from the rest of the family.
We love you both.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please donate; even the smallest amount could make the World of difference in the fight to do something about this absolutely awful disease. Don’t forget to gift aid.
Thank you in advance x
More information about Alzheimer's can be found here: http://www.alzheimers.org.uk and I think everyone will agree it is a great cause.
