Fundraising for Little Village

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our gorgeous little Priya, aged 6 years old will be having her hair cut and at least 7” will be donated to the wonderful The Little Princess Trust.
Priya’s hair will be cut by the very lovely Gwen McDermott at GNJ Hairstudio (in Wandsworth, SW11 5RB) on Friday 26th October 2018.
Here’s a bit about The Little Princess Trust...
The Little Princess Trust is a children’s cancer charity and our mission is to supply real hair wigs to children suffering with cancer, for the duration of their treatment. In addition we assist children with other conditions which also result in hair loss, the most common being alopecia. Our commitment to these children is different. Despite being set up to help children with cancer, the Trust is able to supply children that do not have a cancer diagnosis with a single wig. Whilst we are unable to commit to supplying more than one wig, we hope that this gesture will help the child and family whilst they decide on their long-term plans for dealing with this sort of condition.
Whilst Priya’s hair will be donated to The Little Princess Trust, we would like to take this opportunity to raise some funds for Little Village HQ.
About Little Village...
Little Village is here to make it as easy as possible for local families to support one another during times of need.
We collect great quality donations of clothes, toys and kit for babies and children up to the age of 5, and we gift these donations on to local families who are dealing with really challenging circumstances – homelessness, unemployment, low wages and domestic violence.
Our dream is that no child in the capital grows up without essential items of clothing, toys and equipment.
We collect great quality donations of clothes, toys and kit for babies and children up to the age of 5, and we gift these donations on to local families who are dealing with really challenging circumstances – homelessness, unemployment, low wages and domestic violence.

All our sites invite families in to choose the items they’d like, supported by our fantastic trained volunteers. Our feedback tells us that the warm, friendly experience of visiting us is as significant as the great quality of the items the families are able to take home with them.
Little Village is powered by an incredible network of over 150 volunteers. We’re a registered charity, and we currently operate in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Camden, and in 2018 we are expanding into Southwark.
Through our work we grow confidence, connection and community at the same time as alleviating material poverty. We have our work cut out: despite being one of the wealthiest cities in the world, child poverty is rising for the first time in 20 years, and is at its highest in inner London, where we operate.
