Last weekend the UK's second largest marathon was due to take place in Brighton and this weekend would have been the London Marathon.    In the absence of these big events many charities are facing a shortfall in expected funding of approx £66M.

In an attempt to close this gap the 2.6 Challenge has been launched!

Together with my lovely team, the 'American Express UK Corporate Field Sales Team' we are taking up the challenge. On Tuesday at 2:06pm we will start running a team marathon 26.2 miles between us. The team is spread throughout the UK so will be joined up by videos, photos and mymaprun for evidence! We will be supporting a variety of charities across the UK in each of the teams home areas from Brighton to Edinburgh.

As most of you will know I am NO ATHLETE but have been training and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far, so who knows!

I will be running for Amaze who are a Brighton charity supporting young people and their families who have learning difficulties and Autism. Amaze play a critical role in ensuring the best possible outcome for everyone and they are a very much valued and needed organisation.

If everyone I know is able to donate £1 we will smash this!
