I'm taking part in the 2017 Abseiling challenge for Me too & Co and Toucan Diversity. I'll be going over the edge of one of the country's most iconic buildings and abseiling (for the first time ever!) 100m to the ground. I want to raise as much money as I can to help support these two really important charities, and here's why.

Me too & Co and Toucan Diversity share a common goal - providing support and developing the potential of those affected by disability and additional needs.

A bit about Me too & Co

Me too & Co provides a supportive and active community for children with disabilities and additional needs. They care for the whole family, providing opportunities to join in, develop and feel empowered. They strive to remove the isolation that can be created for families and their children and build strong and supportive networks.

During the last decade they have expanded from at first providing inclusive play sessions, to now offering a wide range of therapies and services that are often otherwise inaccessible to families. These include services such as hydrotherapy, inclusive activities like drama and karate, and free legal advice for Special Educational Needs (SEN).

They are an independent charity and rely completely on grants and fundraising to continue their work.

A bit about Toucan Diversity

Toucan Diversity Training Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation that provides equality training in order to promote social inclusion for the most disadvantaged groups of our society. Toucan’s objective is to educate and increase awareness of the issues which affect people with disabilities and other minority groups.

They believe that diversity training should be carried out by people who have first-hand experience of the day-to-day difficulties encountered as a disadvantaged member of our society.

How will your money help?

All the funds raised will be equally split between Me too & Co and Toucan Diversity. Every penny will go back into supporting the services and and activities they provide so they can continue to make a impact supporting children, their families and adults affected by disability and additional needs.

So please, whatever you can donate, it will mean so much to me and it will spur me on as I go over the edge on the 4th of June!
