Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit and for any donations made to my Just Giving page. This year i plan to volunteer at one of the SOS orphanages in Sri Lanka and as you can imagine it will be the most unforgettable rewarding  experience. The summer camp organised by Global Hope puts so many big smiles on the faces of incredible children. 

I will be taking part in the 'Global Hope' Project, Sri Lanka. The programme lasts just over 3 weeks beginning on the 3rd of August - 27th August 2018. Through this unbelievable organisation I will be working with children who are orphaned, abandoned or neglected in an SOS village based in Sri Lanka. 

The objective of this project is to give these children the opportunity to build lasting relationships within a loving family. I am delighted to be taking part in an organisation that aims to help children recognise and express their individual abilities, interests and talents. Ensuring that they receive the education and skills training they need to be successful and contributing members of society. 

The money raised will finance this project and contribute resources/support to communities such as SOS Children's Villages in Sri Lanka. This is a long established programme running a variety of activities such as sports and arts based activities in order to build self esteem. As well as responding to the social development needs of the most vulnerable children and young people and working with community members to provide education and health care, respond to emergencies, and strengthen families to prevent child abandonment.
