Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My mum had epilepsy since she was a teenager when she banged her head in an accident. It wasn’t until about a year later when she had another seizure at random that they realised that it wasn’t a one of and she would need to live the rest of her life with this. Her seizures weren’t every day but when she suffered one she could be affected for days. You’d never know she lived with this as she never moaned about it and didn’t let it stop her.

Unfortunately she had a seizure and the way she landed blocked off her oxygen supply. The hospital staff were amazing and done all they could. I always worried she might have a seizure in a situation that could be fatal but I never thought it would happen the way it did. She was only 45 and such a positive and lovely person who should have had many more years. Everyone that knew my mum loved her. She had an infectious smile and laugh. I know everyone says this but she really was the most genuinely lovely person.

Me and lots of people that loved and cared for my mum are doing sponsored activities and fundraising events to eventually get to that target. It will take a few events I'm sure but I hope we get to that amount. The amount was chosen because £385.57 is what was collected on the day of her funeral and £10,000 seems impossibly possible.
