Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I would like to share the reasons that I've been inspired to do the Gung-Ho! 5k obstacle run on 25th March in London.
Firstly, I have been a public health professional for many years, helping people adopt a healthy lifestyle. So to make a bigger impact on my clients, I practice what I preach.
Secondly, my clients need inspiration and they often find it very difficult to make lifestyle changes. For all of the people who lack motivation because of reasons such as age, I am over 50 years old and I don't give up!
Thirdly, for many years I have been fundraising for charities such as BBC Children in Need, Red Nose day and others, and this time I have chosen to support the IraqChild project, for the reason that the war has not stopped in Iraq since 2003. There are hundreds of thousands of displaced children living and growing up in terrible conditions in refugee camps inside Iraq, with very limited access to clean water, education, food and a normal life.
The IraqChild project, launched by the Iraqi Association in 2007, has been working to alleviate the suffering of some of the neediest children in poor districts of Baghdad. In Baghdad, the project relies on a dedicated team of volunteers to support children through the running of both a mobile clinic and an educational resource centre. You can learn more about the project's vital work here:

I hope that the funds raised will make at least a few children smile; this might not change the whole world, but will impact their lives and their world.
Thank you for your support!!!
