Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Mount Snowdon, in Welsh, Yr Wyddfa, meaning 'the tumulus', dominates the landscape of North Wales, soaring to 3,560 feet (1,085m) and is the highest mountain in Wales or England...
Soooooooooo, I have decided on the 27th September 2014, I will climb this BAD BOY!!
This is a first for me and I pray that I get to the summit and back down in one piece..... all in the name of raising money!!! :)
My nan has suffered from this horrible disease for over 10 years. There is no cure but medication is available to slow down the development of the condition in some people. On average people live for around 8-10 years after they start to develop symptoms (this can vary considerably!) Alzheimers is not usually the actual cause of death but a contributing factor.
If you can spare a little £ to help me reach my target, I'm sure the Alzheimer's Society will appreciate it greatly so they can continue to support people with alzheimers and other dementias, their families and carers.
Thanking you in advance.
