Story
At the beginning of the academic year I told DC committee that this year we must do much better for RAG having been one of the lowest contributors in the past few years. Of course they thought that I should lead by example and in true Sheryl style I said ‘Bring it on’.
So I went on our RAG raid to Sheffield and really got the RAG buzz . Then one of our RAG reps said ‘why don’t you do the skydiving’ … now that is a challenge and one which I have been running away from for many years! I didn’t tell her at the time but I find the prospect of jumping out of a plane at 13,500 ft absolutely petrifying!
But for DC (and such a brilliant cause) I will do anything …so sky diving here I come…!
The money raised will go towards our DC RAG total and I have nominated Cancer Research UK as my charity. A few years ago, a very good friend and warden colleague, Louisa, died from cancer and the sister of another good friend of mine is also currently going through treatment for cancer. As we all know this is a terrible experience for all involved, and so I hope that this money will go some way towards helping with the fight against cancer.
I hope you will support me.
Thank you!
