Sam's story and why he needs our help as a society

100% of all funds raised from this art challenge will go towards empowering Sam. Sam is one of our awesome beneficiaries. He has had such a difficult start in life with no positive parental support from his mother or his absent father. He has been severely bullied his entire life and this cycle of bullying continues now wherever he goes. This makes it impossible for Sam to make friends and hold down a job. Every day, Sam locks himself away feeling unloved, unwanted and with zero self-worth. Sam so desperately wants kindness, friendship, training and employment but he needs our support as a society for that to happen. We can provide that kindness to Sam that he never had growing up, by giving him sponsorship today. As a parent myself, I know in my heart the love I give my own children, Sam has NEVER had that....but like anyone, he deserves a future! And so I implore you to help Sam today. Together, as a society we can give him back the future he deserves and needs. Please join us in supporting and empowering Sam.

Empowering Young People Aged 16 - 30  with the Imitation Art Challenge

Hands up if you need some fun!

The Covid19 Pandemic has really affected us all so here at The Shiva Trust Charity we want to help you reignite your inner joy. We have created a fun imitation art challenge to help raise funds for Sam, one of our young beneficiaries. Doing something creative like this can really support your mental health and at the same time as supporting Sam so take some time for you today to support Sam and to support your own mental health too...

What you can win 

There is a totally amazing prize up for grabs. The winner will receive their very own BESPOKE PORTRAIT of yourself, your family, a beloved pet or maybe even of a loved one who has passed away. We have an amazing artist who will create a unique piece of art just for you. All we need is a photo of the person or pet you would like in your BESPOKE PORTRAIT. Be sure to send that in with your entry.

There are different ways of giving to support Sam

1. Enter the challenge and pay £10 for one entry to win an amazing bespoke piece of art.
2. Two imitation art challenge entries is just £15
3. If you give £40, you can submit up to 5 entries. You will provide full sponsorship for Sam for one week. He will receive life coaching, mentoring, training....
4. Every little helps so just giving a gift from you of £5 will make a huge difference in Sam's life.

Here's how you can take part in the challenge

Without further ado, here's the how to...

1. Pay for your entry to our fun competition through this Just Giving Page. There is a suggested minimum donation of £10, but all proceeds are going to an amazing cause, so whatever extra you can give is really appreciated. You can enter as many times as you like too. The more the merrier.
2. Recreate a piece of art using things you have around the house. Remember to check out the gallery for inspiration. There's no right or wrong way with this, the key is having fun and doing it your way. We would love to hear about the fun you have while making your imitation art too. You might even like to recreate an album cover, that would be so cool. 
   
   If you scroll through the gallery by clicking the photo icon in the top corner of the cover photo above, you will see some examples of imitation art that will inspire you.
   
   
3. Submit your very own unique imitation art to amanda@shivatrust.org . Remember to include the following things: A photo of your imitation art, a photo of the original artwork and a photo of you or your loved one so that if you win your bespoke art can be created.
4. We will keep the art challenge open until we have raised the funds needed to support Sam have a brighter future. Good Luck everyone!
