Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
I'm completing a Triathlon in memory of my friend Simon Bates an amazing genuine man with a big heart and a love of life. He was dedicated to his family, his friends and to making a difference to others.
On Saturday September 21st, 2013 the day after summiting Mont Blanc in the French Alps, sadly Simon slipped and fell during his descent and was tragically killed aged 30. Its hard to believe that one misplaced step could cost Simon his future so to honour such a wonderful life the Simon Bates Foundation was initiated by his family and friends to help continue his passion for empowering others and bettering lives.
Simon had a passion for helping people to be the best they could be and to help others to build better futures for themselves by teaching them how to do things on their own.
I've paid my entry fee for the Triathlon as I want every penny I raise to go to Simons Foundation.
All donations are gratefully received and will go to Simons Foundation.
