Story
Hi guys
As a lot of you know I lost my mam in 2017 to cancer after a huge battle for as long as I can remember. Now her fighting the battle against cancer was made easier by family and friends helping when and where they could but also by St cuthberts hospice in Durham. The hospice is also still supporting myself and has helped me hugely through the grieving process. They have also helped other friends that have suffered from similar health problems making the end of life that little bit more bearable for them and family’s around them.
So I want to give something back to st cuthberts and hopefully help them to continue helping others. The plan is for myself and very good friend Steve foster to cycle the c2c from Whitehaven to roker ( 135 miles ) in one day ideally during daylight hours. People that are into cycling or have been lucky enough to do the c2c know this is no easy task.
Myself and Steve are aiming to complete this in May 2019, there isn’t a set date as a lot depends on weather but it will be at some point in May.
Anything donated even if it’s £1 will be hugely appreciated, everything helps
Thank you so much
Simon
