Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit and for any donations made to my Just Giving page. Last year I visited one of the SOS orphanages in Sri Lanka and as you can imagine it was the most amazing and unforgettable experience. I loved it that much I’ve decided to go back!!! Everyone was so kind in their donations last year and I had the priveledge of seeing the benefit of everyone’s generosity as the summer camp organised by Global Hope put so many big smiles on the faces of all the incredible children we met. This made the whole experience something I just had to do again. Therefore I have again been selected by Liverpool Hope University to represent Global Hope, an international Education Charity (No. 1060579) in their Volunteering Programme.

I will be taking part in the 'Global Hope' Project, Sri Lanka. The programme lasts just over 3 weeks beginning on the 4th August - 27th August 2018. Through this unbelievable organisation I will again be working with children who are orphaned, abandoned or neglected in an SOS village based in Sri Lanka.

The objective of this project is to give these children the opportunity to build lasting relationships within a loving family. I am delighted to be taking part in an organisation that aims to help children recognise and express their individual abilities, interests and talents. Ensuring that they receive the education and skills training they need to be successful and contributing members of society.

The money raised will finance this project and contribute resources/support to communities such as SOS Children's Villages in Sri Lanka. This is a long established programme running a variety of activities such as sports and arts based activities in order to build self esteem. As well as responding to the social development needs of the most vulnerable children and young people and working with community members to provide education and health care, respond to emergencies, and strengthen families to prevent child abandonment.

This project will help impact peoples lives for the better and with your help we can. Any funds are appreciated and will aid massively.
