Story

On Wednesday 22nd May 2019, every member of Staff at Singleton School will be taking part in a sponsored 'Ice Bucket Challenge' to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

This is a special event in support of a charity very dear to our hearts and we hope that you will support us.

Mrs Haigh's Mum Thelma has Motor Neurone Disease. Thelma has been a part of our school family for many years, giving up hours of her time to teach our children how to sew. It was Thelma who made our beautiful 150th Celebration wall hanging of the village that hangs in the school entrance. She also made the wall hangings that are outside the new hall which celebrated the building in 2011. More recently, Thelma helped our children to make a beautiful frieze representing the Bible story of 'The Creation' which is on display in the Hall.

Thelma is an incredible woman, wise, caring, kind and she has unbelievable strength and determination.

All the staff at Singleton School will be taking part in the Challenge and we hope that you will support us in any way that you can.
