Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Yeovil Rugby Ladies team are set on putting Yeovil on the Guinness World record map! Our mission is bringing the local community together by uniting women of all ages, ability and backgrounds through fitness and love of the sport. As a way supporting this mission, we wanted a way to give back to the local community and promote our dedication to inspire more women and girls, whatever their age, size, background or ability to get active.

On the 3rd of March 2018, we will play the world’s longest rugby record that will last at least 29 hours. This record that has only been previously achieved by a group of men! However true to our dedication of inspiring women and girls we are confident that we will smash this record attempt with your help.

Also to support our mission of giving back to the local community, leading up to the record attempt we will be fundraising for this event to support the club and our chosen charity – Yeovil Hospital Charity, specifically the Yeovil Breast Cancer unit. About one in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. There's a good chance of recovery if it's detected in its early stages. The unit in Yeovil might be small however has helped many women to battle through this disease and through your generous donations will be able to invest in state of the art equipment to help even more mothers, wives, sisters, daughters or friends.

Any other donation how big or small will be welcomed.
