Story
Originally we were collecting to improve the Oncology Wards at SGH in Julia's memory. Since then we have lost John, Grant and Crispin who was Julia's stem cell donor.
Working with SGH we are pleased to advise that the old tatty wards are to be removed as part of a vertical development that will provide End of Life care for those who's journey is coming to an end and doesn't want to spend that precious time in a poor environment.
So the family will jump for all those we have lost and celebrating those that have kicked cancers arse.
This site is collecting for:
Ollie Haywood
Toni Spraggett (Place donated by Henry Hudson)
Elliot Hood Howard Hood Holly Cranvey
Barnaby Hudson Martin Rye Jess Morton
Paul Kent
and some how me as well....
Plus a guest! Vacancy exists if you want to come along you have to raise a minimum of £500!
There will be a party afterwards and a prize for the best and worst jump!
Planned Jump GoSkyDive Salisbury 25 March 2023
Julia was supported and received outstanding care whilst being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at Southampton General Hospital and spent 6 years kicking cancers butt. John was taken by Bowl cancer. He spent part of his life fund raising for Wessex Heartbeat. Grant lost the battle against pancreatic cancer at
Southampton General Hospital. Crispin was taken by a brain tumour before he was due to start treatment at Southampton General Hospital
The NHS as we know is underfunded and Southampton is not alone in making difficult priority choices. However, we believe that the environment has a big impact on the experience of patients, family and friends during their difficult journeys and therefore in Julia's legacy we would like to raise as much money as possible to facilitate these positive changes.
Its about helping people battleing cancer now.
