Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre is committed to supporting women and girls affected by sexual violence. Every year they support more than 1,000 survivors across Cambridgeshire to not only cope and recover from the impact of sexual violence but to go on to flourish and thrive. They are only able to do this thanks to the support of people like me and you. By taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon 2020, my fundraising and awareness raising enables them to provide life-changing listening and support services for survivors of sexual violence. These include confidential telephone and email helplines; one-to-one counselling; peer support groups and Independent Sexual Violence Advocates, who offer practical advice and help on the legal processes when dealing with the police, health, housing and other services. Anything you can give to support my fundraising make a huge difference to local women and girls at a time when they need it most.
