Story

Myself - Sophie Derbyshire, Kristen Wilson, Georgia Smith, Tamzin weatherill and Sophie Hill are going to run 500k as a team in month of may (averaging out to 100k/62 miles each  ) We will be  Raising money for the North east ambulance service to support them during their fight against Covid-19 .

We will be running 3.3k a day for the next 31days to run just over the same distance of two and a half marathons each . In total as a team we will be running twelve and a half Marathons which  calculates to 391 miles.

None of us are experienced runners, so it is going to be a massive challenge for us all but it's nothing compared to the work our NHS and North east ambulance service staff are putting in during this crisis. So we want to try and give something back something back to them. Any donations will be massively  appreciated!

This is how the funds will help the NEAS:

“With the funds raised NEAS can invest further in employees working through the global COVID 19 pandemic with health and wellbeing initiatives, reward and recognition for their dedication and professional development. Donations can also be used to recruit more volunteers and further train and support those already working with the service; install community defibrillators and develop a cadet scheme.”
