We have decided to launch this campaign to raise money for NHS staff at St Helens and Whiston Hospitals who are working around the clock amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Now more than ever we are reliant on our doctors and nurses in our NHS hospitals. These guardians of the community are serving on the frontline under impossible pressure to save lives.

While the majority of the population are confined to their homes, these heroes are risking their own health and wellbeing and putting people like us first.

This money will be used by the Trust for staff in whichever capacity they wish but in the first instance, it has been decided that one of the ways this money will help staff during this crisis, is to provide a tuck shop for those working tirelessly across the hospitals, for example in A&E, ICU and respiratory wards, as they cannot go out to get food and shops are now closed nearby.
