Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Honestly, I think I'm crazy to want to run another marathon, but here I am. And if I'm being honest, I am pretty excited about running the London marathon...but my real motivation is supporting Child Rescue Nepal and their incredible work.
Modern slavery and human trafficking occur in every country and whether we realize it or not, it touches almost every facet of our lives - from our food to the clothing that we wear, and from the electronics we use to the coffee we drink. The reality is, it's happening, and it's happening everyday.
Child Rescue Nepal does the hard work we aren't able to do - rescuing and supporting innocent children subjected to modern slavery. Every donation made supports their work - their rescues of children from enslavement, efforts to prevent children from becoming enslaved, and the painstaking time and effort required to reunite families and start the rehabilitation process for these child survivors. Your donation goes to a much worthier cause than my running of the London Marathon.
Their work has - and will continue - to directly and positively change the trajectory of innocent kids who would otherwise be subjected to abuses we can't imagine. We can't make modern slavery disappear overnight, but we can support the organizations working daily to make that a reality.
So, please know that your support of me is SO welcome and appreciated, but please know that your donation is extending far beyond my marathon adventures (as a reminder, 100% of donations go to Child Rescue Nepal!). Through your donation, you are playing a far more vital and impactful role than can be articulated in one post. Thank you for taking the time to read and please help spread the word!
