Story
I am off to India and I need your help! :)
Next June I will be going to India to volunteer with the Russ Foundation. During this time I will be working in various projects such as the Home for Children without Parents, a primary school and in the farmland.
The Russ Foundation: Russ Foundation is a non-governmental organisation, based in Tamil Nadu, India. Over the past 23 years, Russ Foundation has transformed thousands of lives, primarily those of women and children. Russ Foundation also has a Home for Children without Parents, Primary School, Dairy Farm, Kennels and is currently building a Hospice for HIV/AIDS and TB patients. All of these activities are based on their 17-acre campus.
Why I want to be involved: I have always been involved in volunteer work - from working with St John Ambulance since I was 5, to getting involved in LSU Action at University. I am hoping that this experience will help me to make a real difference during my expedition. I feel the Russ Foundation helps to give so many people the tools they need in life and I would love to be able to have the opportunity to be a part of that.
To do this I need to raise £1,400. Therefore any donation you can give would be much appreciated! I am also doing a range of mad things to try and raise money - so look out and join in!
Much love ox
