Fundraising for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice - Liverpool
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the morning of 5th May, I will be setting off to run solo around the Welsh island of Anglesey. This will involve running around 30-35 miles each day, covering over 130 miles in just 4 days.
I will doing this in memory of my Mum, who sadly passed away in 2012. I will be hoping to raise as much money as possible for Zoe's Place, a local children's charity.
Just to give you an idea of how hard this will be, here's some stat's......
At the end of this I will have.....
ran over 130 miles, burnt over 19 thousand calories, ran the equivalent of 5 marathons in 4 days, and ascended over 13000ft in height nearly half of Mt Everest!!!
Zoe's Place children's hospice:
Zoë’s Place Trust is a registered charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
This care will be provided in a caring, safe, home from home environment known as Zoë’s Place Baby Hospices.
Fundraising is the engine that keeps this special hospice open for the families that rely on our nursing team. The care that these amazing children require will never cease and neither will the efforts of our fundraisers and volunteers to make sure the funds are always there to keep the doors of Zoë's Place open.
As with all children’s hospices we receive a modest amount of funding from the NHS and central Government. This funding is very important to us as the service to the families is provided entirely free of charge, but, it only goes a small way towards the costs of running the hospice. The reality is that Zoë’s Place relies almost entirely on donations from our supporters.
