Story
On the 29th December 2017 we lost two of our heroes.
Not only were they fierce competitors in the rally world and the life and soul of the service park, but Steve was a loving father, partner and grandfather, and Shawn was an amazing son and friend, who never failed to put a smile on people’s faces.
Minutes after the accident the air ambulance was there ready to take them to hospital, but as many of you now know, sadly they passed away at the scene.
None of the regional air ambulances are government funded and although the clinical staff are paid for by the NHS, the running of the helicopters and pilots is dependent on donations.
Any donations in memory of Steve and Shawn would be greatly appreciated, and for those of you who would like them, we also have stickers of Shawn’s beloved MK2 Escort, Bessie, with Steve and Shawn’s names on her which can be sent to you.
We have aimed to raise enough money to cover the cost of the air ambulance being there ready for Shawn and Steve. The Hampshire air ambulance costs approximately £9000 a day which is how we decided on our target.
Thank you.
