Story
My Wife and I, well actually more My Wife! Decided to Swim the distance of the English Channel for charity and raise money for the British Tinnitus Association.
The Challenge, to swim the equivalent of the Channel (22 Miles), in our local pool within 12 weeks. But I went one further, as the more experienced swimmer I thought it was a good idea to support my Wife in this challenge, but saying I would Swim there and back - 44 Miles & Yes within the same 12 week period!
That is 1416 Lengths for Niki and a lot more for me!!
I am an Audiologist who specialises in Tinnitus Rehabilitation, I know the work and support the BTA does is amazing and thought I would give my clients and friend/family the chance to give something back to the BTA!
We started the challenge on 15th August, so have until the 15th November to meet our Goals, who know's maybe the next one will be the actual Channel!!!
The British Tinnitus Association is the only national charity specialising in tinnitus support. Their vision is a world where no one suffers from tinnitus. They receive no money directly from the government, so are 100% reliant on the generosity and support of members of the public and grant-making organisations to be able to support people with tinnitus across the UK.All of their work is paid for by the generosity of supporters like you.
