Stewart, my wonderful dad, was diagnosed with a brain tumour way back in 1999 and in 2003 he was given just 6 months to live. But with the help of Christie Hospital, and particularly his consultant Doctor Rao, he survived living life to the full until 2013. 

For these 14 years dad was incredibly well and we had a wonderful life all together as a family. Unfortunately the tumour regrew in 2013 and despite surgery and chemotherapy his health and mobility deteriorated and we were told that dad wouldn't recover. 

The most important thing for us all was that dad stayed at home with us and it was the small charity Helen's Trust who helped us to do this. Dad died in February 2015, peacefully and without pain in his own bed with me, my mom and our pets cuddled up together. 

Helen's Trust helped us with care and with aids to enable us to achieve the end that we all wanted. Please give generously to help others in the same position as we were.
