Story
I am currently raising funds for and awareness about multiple sclerosis (MS), a cause that is very important to me. To further support my goal, I am training to run the Berlin Marathon in September 2021.
This page will act as an all-inclusive tracker of my progress, while also providing info on how you can get involved in MS awareness. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. I'd be overjoyed to have friends, family and colleagues join me in this goal of mine!
Having seen first-hand how MS has affected the life of a loved one, I am constantly inspired by the courage and determination required to face it on a daily basis. Just about everything we do in our lives relies on our central nervous system to work properly. When you have MS, messages to/from the system can be disrupted, making tasks that we often take for granted anything but simple. No true cause is known, no cure has been discovered, and no two progressions or experiences are the same.
My 2021 fundraising efforts are in aid of The National Brain Appeal, a UK-based charity that raises funds in support of Queen Square, one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions. This is a charity that I’ve been in close contact with for nearly two years and am passionate about supporting. All funds raised by my initiative will support MS through The National Brain Appeal’s Neurology Fund.
Lastly - while the race is currently approved for September 26th, it is possible that things can change. I will be raising funds and awareness no matter what happens with the race.
