Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I have done two successful treks in Nepal in the past. However I have never attempted to do such a high altitude trek. This is a 10 day trek and if successful I will pass through the Thorong La pass which is at the height of 5416 metres  (17769 feet). This height is almost 800 metres above Mont Blanc which is the highest peak in the Alps. The Thorong La pass is the 5th highest mountain pass in the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorong_La

Oxygen at this height is 55% of normal with significant risk of altitude sickness. In spite of my asthma I am determined to complete this trek for ROH. If successful I will be able to see the wonderful views of Annapurna (10th highest mountain in the world at 8,091 metres = 26,545 ft) and Dhaulagiri (7th highest mountain in the world at 8,167 metres (26,795 ft) which I promise to share with you.

Please donate generously.
